Georg Kroneis

Kroneis hat Elektrotechnik und Biomedizinische Technik (MSc) sowie Musik (MA) in Graz, Linz und Wien studiert. Er hat die 4-jährige Ausbildung zum Feldenkrais-Lehrer in Wien gemacht. Die Berliner Agentur Filmgesichter vermittelt Kroneis an Kino- und Fernsehfilme, u.a. Tom of Finland von Dome Karukoski und Babylon Berlin von Tom Tykwer.
Kroneis singt und spielt Viola da Gamba und Kontrabass z.B. in ArtHouse17 & ArtHouseOpera, der Formation Fetish Baroque, der Freitagsakademie Bern, in der Musiktheaterproduktion FUGIT mit Kamchàtka und der Zirkustheaterproduktion SEASONS im Cirque Noël von Adrian Schvarzstein, sowie als Solist auf Festivals wie der styriarte Graz, dem Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht, auf den Musikfestspielen Potsdam Sanssouci wie auch bei Classic Meets Fetish am Folsom Berlin oder der Leather Pride Antwerpen. Mit seinem Soloprogramm reist er - unterstützt von der Österreichischen Botschaft, dem Institut Français der Französischen Botschaft (Le Service de Coopération et d'Action culturelle de l'Ambassade de France) wie auch dem Goethe Institut der jeweiligen Länder - durch Europa sowie nach Israel, Pakistan und dem Libanon. Als Performance-Künstler entwickelt Kroneis seinen eigenen Ansatz zur Haptic Art mit Eins-zu-Eins-Performances im Inneren der Installation Fetish Black Box auf sehr unterschiedlichen und ungewöhnlichen Veranstaltungspodien wie Wabe Berlin - Deutschland 2019, Kunsthaus Graz - Österreich 2019, Darklands Antwerpen, Belgien 2020. Georg liebt Mathematik und Schokolade, geht gern auf hohe Berge, schnorrt Zigaretten, hat noch nie Kaffee getrunken und wollte einmal Zugführer oder Wunderkind werden, bis sich herausgestellt hat, dass es zumindest für eines davon dann doch schon zu spät war. www.georgkroneis.com |
Kroneis studied electrotechnical engineering (MSc) and music (MA) in Graz, Linz and Vienna. He completed his 4-year training as a Feldenkrais teacher in Vienna. As an actor Kroneis is represented by the Berlin based casting agency filmgesichter, casted e.g. for the movie Tom of Finland by Dome Karukoski and for several seasons of the television series Babylon Berlin by Tom Tykwer.
Kroneis sings and plays viola da gamba and double bass, for example in the ArtHouse17 & ArtHouseOpera, the formation Fetish Baroque, the Freitagsakademie in Bern, in the music theater production Fugit with Barcelona based street theatre group Kamchàtka and in the circus theater production Seasons of Cirque Noël by Adrian Schvarzstein, as well as a soloist at festivals like the styriarte Graz, the festival Oude Muziek Utrecht, at the Musikfestspiele Potsdam Sanssouci but also at Classic meets Fetish at Folsom Berlin or the Leather Pride Antwerp. With his solo program he travels through Europe, Israel, Pakistan, Lebanon, supported by the Austrian Embassy, the Institut Français of the French Embassy (Le Service de Coopération and the Action Culturelle de l'Ambassade de France) and the Goethe Institute of the respective countries. As a performance artist, Kroneis develops his own approach to haptic art with one-on-one performances inside the installation Fetish Black Box on very different and unusual event platforms such as Wabe Berlin - Germany 2019, Kunsthaus Graz - Austria 2019, Darklands Antwerpen, Belgium 2020.
